Island Peak Climbing, also known as Imja Tse, is a 6,189m high mountain in the eastern Himalayas of Nepal. The peak is located in Sagarmatha National Park, which is also home to the famous Everest region. You will greatness of Mt. Everest during the peak climbing.

Our 17-day Island Peak Climbing Expedition aims to take you to the top of Island Peak through some of the most challenging parts of the Everest region. Island Peak was first climbed in 1953 by a British expeditionary group, including Tenzing Norgay. Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary became Everest’s first climbers.

Our mountaineering expedition begins with a UNESCO World Heritage Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu. Then board the plane to Lukla. The 30-40 minute flight is one of the most beautiful flights in the world with views of the highest mountains in the world, including Everest.
Island Peak Climbing starts with trekking from Lukla to Namche Bazaar via Phakding. We take an acclimatization break in Namche and continue trekking to Tengboche, Dingboche, and Chukkung, where we have another acclimatization break. Hike from check-in to Island Peak Base Camp and stay there the next day for pre-climb training. Climb to Island Peak on the 12th day of the expedition. The climb will take 1012 hours. It’s challenging and tiring, but climbing is rewarding. The magnificent views of Ama Dablam, Makalu, Balance, and Lhotse and the beautiful expanse of the Khumbu Himalayas from the top of the Island Peak are forever important.
